Territory and Resource Planning applications enable business managers to determine optimized geographical territories and resource levels required to meet the forecast service demand. The applications utilize Operational Simulation & Analysis technology to examine costs of alternative scenarios. Territory Planning applications allow the user to optimally divide a geographical service area into a specified number of territories, each of which can be assigned to one or more primary resources. Alternatively, the required number of resources can be determined by the application.

Underlying Economic Model

The user is able to configure the underlying Economic Model for optimally building territories and assigning resources. Primary model parameters include territory capacity, geographic constraints, on-site job duration, drive time, number of jobs and aggregated revenue. The application automatically generates territory starting points and incrementally adds geographic elements until the complete service area is covered.

Following the assignment of resources to territories, the user can adjust territories to account for factors including resource-specific efficiencies, revenue goals and customer care preferences.

Territory plans can be reviewed and compared via map and data table views.
