Resource Management applications automate and optimize the daily resource scheduling process. This is achieved by optimally assigning service personnel and equipment to customer appointments and then generating the most efficient routes. Organizations realize significant efficiency gains by reducing drive times and drive miles, and increase customer satisfaction by improving on-time arrival rates.
Intelligent scheduling and routing
Resource Management applications complete Pointserve’s “bi-directional optimization” by intelligently assigning resources and optimizing routes to fulfill the customer time commitments scheduled through Appointment Management applications or third party CRM systems. Resource Management applications optimally assign resources through the Resource Scheduling engine, which considers a broad range of inputs including route efficiency, technician skill sets, parts availability, service level agreements, shift rotations, break schedules, and customer preferences. Customer attributes can also be considered to ensure that high-value customers get premium service levels, maximizing total long-term value to the enterprise.
Detailed Schedules and Maps
Resource Management applications provide service center managers and field technicians with all the information they need to perform their daily work, including customer information, detailed schedules, route maps, driving directions and work instructions. Information is presented via intuitive schedule board and map-based interfaces, either in the branch office or remotely via the web. Information can also be forwarded directly to mobile devices in the field, or sent out via Dispatch Management applications from Pointserve or third party companies.
Empowering the extended enterprise
While many Web-based service applications are only suitable for managing technicians in a local field office, Pointserve’s applications are designed to manage a distributed network of field service centers and operations for both internal technicians and third party contractors.
