Staff can also record completed jobs, capture a customer’s electronic signature, and notify the service center of an order’s closed status in real-time or ‘store and forward’ information when out of wireless coverage areas, a capability not found in browser-based applications. Technicians are able to request turn-by-turn directions in the field to assist getting to the next location.
Mobile productivity applications can link to dispatch management via public mobile data, circuit switched, LAN, Wireless 802.11, and Satellite networks.
